Where do we source our timbers?
We personally source your timbers from repuTable suppliers, who buy from sustainably managed forests. All timbers are kiln dried to desirable moisture contents so that your product will last a lifetime, and one day become a family heirloom.
What types of timber do we use?
Some of the timbers we use include:
European Oak (Quercus Petraea)
A hard, heavy wood with light, golden brown colours, straight grain with uneven textures. Sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
Blackwood (Acacia Melanoxylon)
Reddish brown, to light and dark brown in colour, wavy or straight grains. An invasive species from Australia. Sourced locally from various suppliers.
Iroko (Milicia excelsa)
Light to deep golden-brown with interlocked grains. Sourced from Central Africa. ‘Iroko’ is the native name for African Teak.
Ash (Fraxinus spp.)
Attractive medium brown colours with pronounced grain patterns. Sourced from sustainably managed European forests.
Kiaat (Pterocarpus angolensis)
Light to dark brownish in colour with beautiful grain patterns. Generally sourced from Mozambique.
Do we only make Tables?
We love making all kinds of Tables! But we also manufacture other solid wood furniture throughout your entire house, and exactly to your needs. You tell us what you want, and we build it. Check out our photo gallery to get a sense of the types of projects we manufacture.

Do we have a pricelist?
Nope, we don’t. Everything we manufacture with you is custom made, tailored to your personal needs. Feel free to send us a picture or what you are interested in, and we’ll be in touch to discuss your choice of timber, styles and finishes before sending you a quote.
Do you do specialised projects?
We have made a wide range of solid wood products, including staircases, treehouses, dividers, architectural beams and finishes, gates and solid wood flooring. Our 1200mm Wide Belt Sander can sand up to 0.1mm and is electronically controlled. Table tops, kitchen counters, bar counters and any other flat surfaces can be sanded perfectly to the required thickness. We will even seal and fit your counter tops on request (conditions apply).
How do I order a product?
Send us a picture of what you want, along with the materials and dimensions you are thinking about. We’ll send you a quote for the job. Through the process, at your request, we’ll send you pictures of your product as it is manufactured.
How long does it take to make a piece?
It depends on the product you order, but anywhere from 2-8 weeks, also depending on the availability of timbers and other build materials. Lead times vary through the year, but we always aim to get your furniture to its new home as soon as possible. When we quote, we’ll give you an indication of the lead time.
What do we seal or products with?
We only use natural oil products to seal our furniture, like ProNature. We have a wide range of colours available which we will discuss with you prior to sealing your product. Since we only work with imported and exotic timbers we try and stay away from painting, but this can also be arranged at your request.
How do I care for and maintain my product?
Aftercare of your product is essential. Wood is a natural product and needs to be maintained. Using natural oils as sealers, and for maintenance, is very simple. We will advise you on this. For cleaning, simply wipe with a damp cloth on a regular basis. To clean spills, tops can be washed with a water and a soap solution.
Can we deliver?
We have a trusted courier who we work with in the Western Cape. If we ship nationally, we will gladly get you a costing from H&M Removals. Transport fees are for the clients account so feel free to arrange your own couriers too.
